| We recommend that you find
a vet for your hedgehog (or any pet) before an emergency arises. The Carolina
Hedgehog Society suggests a yearly checkup with a vet familiar with
hedgehogs.
To help you narrow your search, here are a list of vets in North and South Carolina that have known experience with hedgehogs. The Carolina Hedgehog Society does not endorse or recommend a particular vet or make any claims as to the quality of care you may receive. Use your best judgment and see a vet who makes you and your pet feel comfortable. If you know of a vet anywhere in the Carolinas that sees hedgehogs, please e-mail us so that we can add them to our list. For vets in other parts of the country, visit the Hedgehog Welfare Society.
